Tragic Incident: Sierra Leonean Woman Allegedly Murdered by Husband in Columbus
In a tragic event that has shocked the Sierra Leonean community, 32-year-old Mariama Bah was allegedly murdered by her husband, Hassana Jalloh, in Columbus. According to reports, Jalloh waited until their children had left for school before committing the crime. He then called 911 to report the incident.
The Columbus police responded to a domestic violence report at around 9:20 a.m. in the 2100 block of Yorkhull Lane, located in the Northland area of the city. Upon arrival, officers found Mariama Bah unresponsive, having suffered blunt force trauma. The Columbus Division of Fire medics pronounced her dead at the scene at 9:37 a.m.
Hassana Jalloh, 55, has been charged with aggravated murder and premeditated aggravated murder in connection with his wife's death. According to court records, Jalloh admitted to using a hammer and a knife to kill Mariama Bah, waiting until their children were at school before carrying out the act.
